1. Legal Framework

This policy is drafted in accordance with Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014 on consumer rights in contracts concluded with traders (transposing Directive 2011/83/EU), applicable to distance contracts concluded through this website.

2. Method of Return — Right of Withdrawal (14 Days)

You have the right to withdraw from the purchase contract, without justifying your decision and without penalties, within 14 calendar days from the date of the order. You can inform us through an unequivocal statement, in any of the following ways:

• by completing the withdrawal/return form available on the website (the “Withdrawal Form” page);
• by email at contact@openperpetualpathbook.com, including your order number, your name, and your decision to withdraw;
• by phone, at the contact number listed on the website, mentioning your order number and your decision to withdraw;
• by written request to the operator’s address (below).

It is enough to send the communication before the 14-day period expires. We confirm receipt of your request by email, without delay.

3. Particularities of Digital Content

The product sold is digital content not supplied on a physical medium (EPUB/PDF), delivered instantly by download, immediately after payment is confirmed.

Under Article 16(m) of GEO 34/2014, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to the supply of digital content if:

• performance has begun with your prior, express consent, and
• you have acknowledged that, by giving this consent, you lose your right of withdrawal.

If, at checkout, you are asked to give this explicit consent (for example, via a checkbox), the right of withdrawal ends once the download has started. If no such consent was requested, the general 14-day period from point 2 applies.

4. Return Timeframe / Refund

If the withdrawal is valid, we will refund all amounts paid, without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the date we were informed of your decision. The refund is made using the same payment method used for the order, at no additional cost to you.

Card payments: the refund is made to the card used for the purchase, immediately after the return request is processed. The amount typically appears in your account within 2–5 business days, depending on your card-issuing bank — this timeframe depends solely on your bank’s own policies and not on us.

5. Cancellation Before Delivery

If you want to cancel your order before the download link has been sent, contact us immediately at contact@openperpetualpathbook.com — we will try to stop delivery and process a full refund.

6. Unpaid Orders

Orders for which payment has not been completed are not concluded contracts, do not result in delivery, and require no cancellation action on your part.

7. Complaints

Please contact us directly first. You also have the right to contact:

• the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) — anpc.ro / reclamatiisal.anpc.ro;
• the EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform — consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu.
